Santa Catalina Island is a special place for me and holds many precious memories, so it appears often in my work. Here you will also see Santa Monica, where I grew up, and other Local Beaches.
Hermosa Beach Pier
One of the local piers near my home.

En Plein Air
Inspired by Gallery Dorado 806 in Santa Monica, a group of artist gathered at Annenberg State Beach for a morning of en plein air followed by a gallery show the next weekend.

American Impressionism
Inspired by a workshop I attended with American Impressionist Plein Air artist & teacher of artists, John Cosby, held in Shark Harbor on Santa Catalina Island.

Eagle Rock
Inspired by a photo I took on the way to Santa Barbara Island the morning of the Island to Island Race. This rock is off the west end of Santa Catalina Island.

P3 by Ship Rock
Inspired by a photo my good friend Bill Kindle took shortly after the start of the Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race. This rock is near the Isthmus, and I was aboard this Boston Whaler with a very young knowledgeable and fearless captain, Kyle Morgan.
